Family Academy of Multilingual Exploration

We are Family Academy, a dual language school.
Christopher Columbus Family Academy is a community school serving the Fair Haven area of New Haven, CT. In 2001, the school was selected by the U.S. Department of Education to develop and implement a Dual Language Program. Our school provides students with the opportunity to develop oral and reading fluency in English and Spanish through scientific inquiry. This school is driven by the guiding principles of collaboration, consensus and no-fault in order to make decisions that are in the best interest of children.

How to know our school is right for your child:

  • Your child will be learning in English and in Spanish in our Dual Language Program.
  • Your child comes from a Spanish background and often hears Spanish being spoken at home or family functions.
  • You want your child to be fluent in both languages English and Spanish.
