ACES/Charter Schools

Welcome!

New Haven Magnet Schools are open to all residents of New Haven. Those Magnet Schools identified as "Interdistrict" are also open to all residents of Connecticut. Transportation is provided free of charge to and from many towns. ALL students must apply to our Magnet Schools.

Applications are due to the Magnet Office by 4:30 today (February 17) to be eligible for the Magnet Lottery on March 13. The Online Magnet Applications will also be unavailable after 4:30 today.

You may print out a copy of the New Haven Application, New Haven Solicitud en Español, or the Interdistrict Application at their respective links and mail applications to the:

Applications must be postmarked by February 17 to be eligible for the March 13 Magnet Lottery. Late applications will be accepted until October.

Our Mission

All New Haven Schools of Choice are open to New Haven residents. Our Interdistrict Magnet schools are also open to all Connecticut residents. There are no admission requirements, tests or prerequisites for our students. We serve special education students, English Language learners, talented and gifted students and everyone else who comes through the lottery to our schools. No student may be denied enrollment because of race, ethnicity or disability.
